About Us
Townhouse Records is an independent record store in Downtown Jamestown, New York. Opening in Spring 2008, co-owners Jonathan Bell and Andrew Harrington decided to open the shop in an effort to build upon the crop of young business owners making an effort to bring commerce back to the city. The lack of record stores in the area coupled with a newly thriving music scene helped to push the idea forward. In keeping with the DIY attitude of this new scene, Townhouse Records started simple, selling only used records from a small inventory. With the community’s help, it has been expanding steadily ever since.
To date, Townhouse has accumulated and sold thousands of great used records, and now carries fresh new releases, embracing the industry’s shift back to analog. In addition, we are constantly looking at the latest changes in trends and newest products to better serve our customers. Promoting an atmosphere where an appreciation for vinyl records and music in general can grow is our passion and we are grateful for the opportunity to do so.
